WHY IS THE MELTON THREAD STILL UP? - General Discussion Discussion

Because the moderators (2 of them?) barely check the forum, and make excuses for why the terms of use aren't enforced. They rarely remove threads. They will remove threats of violence, from what I can tell - but that's about all.

This forum is a great design (which is why I came here in the first place), a great format for discussing movies and TVs with the individual show pages imported from IMDB but it's been overrun by schizoid political extremists. It's truly sad.

I'm type 1 diabetic with an insulin pump, I battle stuff everyday that people take for granted, like eating. I'm not ready to go yet. I watched a friend die from a stroke 2 years ago and I'm still disturbed by it. If only I could give up the cigarettes. That's the next thing I'm working on.

My A1c was 12 at its worst. My recent test was 7.1 which is pretty good thanks to the pump. I still have my off days when my BS goes to above 350 for no apparent reason. I just came out of a colonoscopy yesterday and everyone was wonderful. Nurses were awesome. Sounds like you had a nice scare. Hope you get to the bottom of it and get it under control. My best wishes.

I play guitar. I also play bass well enough to get the idea across, but I'm not the arrogant "I can play guitar so I can play bass, too" guy. Very different feel and technique, especially since I dislike the feel of playing bass with a pick, but I'm not great with the fingers.

I remember when we first encountered a Fairlight CMI in a recording studio - it absolutely blew us all away and I remember thinking that music would be changed forever. Now you can download something similar on your phone, lol.

The music stuff was a lifetime ago now and I try not to bang on about it too much, as I don’t want people to go, ‘oh god, not this again’.

Anyway, go and create some stuff and set a deadline for completing a piece of work because you’ll never be satisfied with it and you’ll just tinker and you know what? Nobody will be able to tell the difference, lol.
