Had to Google that...the really good Chinese restaurant across the street from me has some "Rice Porridge" dishes. I assume that's the same thing? Haven't tried it.

Sounds like old school Cantonese which is getting harder and harder to find in LA. Everything here is trendy Szechuan or Mandarin.
