...from being sexually abused by his ex-wife's boyfriend.
The father is Michael Long who is in prison for "kidnapping" his daughter who was being sexually abused by Jacob Bellington while his ex-wife Kelly Long watched.
Guys in prison hate child molesters and rapists. So the father has automatic street cred. Street cred helps you survive. I've been in prison so I know this sheeit.
You always have to be careful with stories like this. Quite a bit are parents (especially mothers) who make false accusations in order to gain custody. That said, I was willing to give the stepfather the benefit of the doubt until I read this:
"The guy’s a piece of s**t. I’m trying to piece my family back together, he’s completely ripped it apart. He’s jealous of me. He can’t handle the fact that I invest myself and my time in the kids’ lives. He’s a lazy sack of shit who can’t hold a job —supposedly he ‘empowers’ rocks, he finds rocks or ‘mystic sands’ that he’s got on his parents’ property where he lives.”"
Sounds like a giant jerk with an enormous ego (who isn't jealous of this manly man?!). Now I don't know what to think.
In this case the child made the accusations. A lot of people are falsely accusing the father of coaching the child. How can someone watch the video and come to that conclusion?
"How can someone watch the video and come to that conclusion?"
Because that's unfortunately what happens in real life. The father made the video and was therefore in full control. I can't say for certain whether he did or did not coach her, but it's not at all impossible or even unlikely that he did.
No, children should not be kept from a parent because the other parent may have manipulated them.
What happened is that he got temporary custody of her after that incident. Then he had two sons who were also ordered by the judge to return to their mother because of behavioral problems. After that a maternal aunt got custody of Sophie, after which he went on the run with her. Even if he's right, he should not have broken the law.
And what if the accusations are false? It would be an easy way for any parents to keep their childen away from the other parent just out of spite
And you didn't read what I said, the dad got temporary custody while the allegations were being investigated and she was going to be placed with the aunt. Ultimately they didn't find any evidence, so there wasn't anything they could do.
