They didn't want my kind and my money a couple years ago, so they suck slew water.
hmmm.... two? Fast X and Meg 2. I used to go a few times a month. It's not about money. Movies get home released so quickly now, it's like I can wait another month. I really think that's the main problem today. It's not streaming or this and that. It's the fast turn around hurting box office.
shareAnd there's seems to be no correct answer for that. As we see here, people stay home now, so if they don't stream quick enough, people forget and move on. But they stay in theaters too short for us to make it out there sometimes.

What about both? Maybe a few weeks in theater, then cut back but stay in theater, while also streaming. Anyone doing that?

Last movie I saw in cinemas was Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019. The pandemic and shutdowns got me out of my habit of going several times a year. Now with quicker digital releases I'm pretty much done with the whole cinema thing.
You're missing out. If you love movies you want to be in a space that is:
1) dark
2) awesome surround sound
3) large screen to see the details
4) free of distractions (hopefully)
That's why I go 1-2 times a month. I don't enjoy or experience movies in the same way at home (where I'll be distracted by my phone in particular or worrying about neighbors when my movie gets loud.)
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...SMASH YOUR PHONE AND THROW THE PIECES IN THE WOODS...TRUST ME.

shareSound of Freedom and Let Me In. I wanted to see Barbie after I found out that it might be entertaining enough but it had already left the theater. Someone asked if I wanted to go each time, or I'm just not going to the movie theater. I remember going to the movies every week and there always being a good selection or at least semi decent. Now there will be maybe 4 or 5 movies a year that sound intriguing but probably still isn't going to compell to go see the movie at the theater.
