If you could replace one actor in a TV series.

Seinfeld's Jason Alexander for me. How could a fat short, bald, broke, nearsighted man with a baby penis score so many women. Did George's shortcomings make the show funnier to watch for you?

I'd replace Mayim Bialik in Call Me Kat with a sack of potatoes. I think it would have done a better job.

Yellow potatoes, not those peasant red potatoes.

reply

I'd also replace her in Big Bang Theory too, Sheldon deserved better.

reply

Her horribleness was less noticeable there but I agree with you.

reply

Honestly, I'd rather replace Seinfeld himself. He broke character a lot with his inability to hold in his laughter.

reply

WOW...AGREE.

reply

The whole time you just know Jerry is a comedian rather than an actor and is playing himself.

reply

Exactly. It's pretty obvious. He's not bad in it, but with the other actors it makes him look like such an amateur.

reply

Let's get a 24 revival with Tim Heidecker as the hero agent and Gregg Turkington as his support back at the CTU office.

reply

Did you see his sent-up of Bill Maher Thursday w/ Fred Armison ? He's a master of parody :

I found the whole thing really funny and commend them both for committing to the bit!

George brought a lot of life to the show, so him being able to date women never bothered me. My pick is Shiri Appleby in Roswell, who took life from the series by being an utter bore. Liz Parker was the main character, but she was the worst part of the series.

reply

She was written to be so bland & the least interesting character in the show

reply

Very much so. In his role as Clark Kent in Smallville, Tom Welling said that, as a main character, a lot of the time you don't usually actively do things, you just kind of react to things that happen to you, and this is true of a lot of main characters, but Appleby never found a way to make this interesting or enjoyable to watch. She really was just there while things happened around her.

I think the whole point of George is he succeeds despite himself. It wouldn't be funny if he was some hot looking guy. And towards the end he decides he will go against all of his natural instincts which also allows him to start succeeding in life.

I never warmed up to Avery Brooks as Sisko in Star Trek: DS9. He's style of acting is not for me. The way he uses his voice just annoys me. It's like a sort of whisper-whooping. Being sad and excited at the same time. IDK man. To this day his scenes are still something that must be endured.

THIS CHARACTER SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR A CERTAIN KIND OF INSECURE MEN...WEIRD.🫤
