Two thoughts. Larry David disdains the "Seinfeld Curse" because it is very difficult to make a successful sitcom and only a handful make it. Second is the experience of Geneviève Bujold, who was cast as the lead of Star Trek: Voyager. She quit in less than two days, completely unprepared for the rigors of starring in a TV show. It may come as a shock to a movie star, the long hours, the hectic pace...
