Do you think Michael Jackson was Innocent or Guilty
Of child sex abuse.
shareIf he was tried in the UK he'd have been found guilty.
Americans don't convict celebrities.
I’d really like to think he was innocent, just a naive dummy who left himself open to terrible accusations.
He was an amazing showman, dancer, singer. He was The King Of Pop, sold a billion records worldwide, everyone loved him.
The ‘sleepover parties’ with ten year old boys were certainly weird and questionable and his marriages were a bit suspect as well. I think he was just deep in the closet and childish, I’d prefer to believe he didn’t hurt any kids and he married those women as ‘Beards’ to protect his career.

That seems like a fair assessment. He was what I like to call a "man child". He just never really grew up and joined the adult world. He seemed to be forever stuck in his Neverland and wanted/needed the childhood that he never had.
He made a LOT of money for a lot of people, so just like Elvis and other performers with major problems, everything was covered up for him.
‘Man Child’ is a good phrase. I think his dad was a bit of a monster and he was actually just gay but it was the 80s, a famous person could ruin their career by ‘coming out’ back then.
Most people seem more accepting now which is a good thing.
I still don’t understand the kiddie sleepovers. That was some oddball behavior…I think he had that ‘arrested development’ thing, you know, a guy that can’t act right around adults. He had a pet monkey and a fun park in his yard. Who the fuck has a pet monkey and a fun park in the yard?!?
He was a really weird dude.

I remember that lol, it was a Raiders Of The Lost Ark monkey!
They’d probably mess you up, Monkeys are mean!

LOL .."a pet monkey and a fun park.." Yeah, he exhibited some oddball behavior.
One thing I wonder about, he WAS the youngest of the Jackson 5, but his brothers weren't that much older. Why didn't they have the same problems with being child celebrities? Did Michael just have some unique problems? He never seemed to grow up and get over his lost youth.
im not even sure he was gay. i would imagine that he had deep trust issues and probably never had a normal romantic relationship that felt "right" to him. everybody was probably fake to him and he could never open up to someone without thinking he was being used or scammed. kids are honest leading to a connection with them. i just have a feeling he didnt molest them.
obviously he didnt like the way he looked to have all those surgeries, which leads me to think he had low self esteem. he couldnt even write his own music, he hummed the songs into a tape deck and had somebody write the sheet music. he was dependent on a lot of people.
he wouldve known accusations were going to come up. security cameras shouldve been everywhere. which makes me think he didnt want things recorded if they werent. so im on the fence.
Innocent. Yeah he was kind of a weird dude but not a chomo.
More than likely you had some opportunistic parents that wanted to exploit Michael’s naiveness for money.
That’s what I think about a lot of these holllywood sex scandals and the #metoo movement in general.
I tend to agree.
He just seemed childlike and a fool.
There may have been some mental illness or emotional trauma involved as well. His father was alleged to have been a very difficult, abusive man.
Young MJ was a fairly handsome guy (if a bit fem) and I knew girls that had crushes on him. Later on MJ had his face worked on so much he looked like Liza Minnelli. I don’t think he did those disgusting things, I just think he lacked good judgement and was maybe a tad nuts.
He should’ve got some sort of help. It also doesn’t help that he was kind of forced into the music industry as a child instead of having a normal childhood.
shareI feel this way too.
His later chemical cocktail use for insomnia was the death of him.
The opioids and hard drugs are scary, best to avoid that garbage.
I never understood his complaining about his childhood. His father didn't want them running wild in the streets since they lived in a bad neighborhood. He had 8 siblings to play with at home. Nobody ended up pregnant, in jail, dead or on drugs under their father's roof.
Joe spent and sacrificed hours with his kids AFTER he came home from work to make them successful. Michael was a musical child prodigy who could've spent his life working as a mailman or bus driver if he had a normal childhood. Instead, he had a $500 million networth from a glam profession with a private amusement park in his backyard.
He definitely should've received therapy.
I used to believe he was innocent, but then me and my step mom watched 'leaving neverland' and I'm on the fence but she absolutely believes he's guilty and she used to be his biggest defender. Can you imagine the betrayal she feels?
I have read up on the police investigation and it presented conflicting evidence because 1)he searched hetrosexual porn only but 2)he had an "art" book that was photos of naked boys frolicking.
I believe Wade is very shifty person, dishonest, etc, but the other guy, Safechuck, seems more credible and looks like the type that a ped would go after. But then some of his story didn't make sense like saying he was abused in a train station that didn't exist until he was 6 foot 16 year old, blowing his claim about being abandoned at puberty to be a lie or his entire fantasies as being unreliable.
I don't believe the latino accuser because he seemed like a con artist like his mother.
Jordie Chandler seems fake too. I read his account and it seemed staged.
I will remain on the fence because I wasn't there.
Guilty.
shareLittle Billy was not his lover.
Signed, million man.
I believe he was innocent. Basically, he felt he missed having a childhood, so he wanted to hang out with kids and play with toys.
sharei am not that convinced.
shareA number of things convinced me. The father who wanted a movie deal with Jackson after claiming he molested his son which is odd. He committed suicide 4 months after Jackson died (father felt guilty?) His son refused to testify. No evidence of any child molestation found by police. $23 million payday for accuser to stop charges. Plenty of people would lie to get a huge payday from a rich man's estate.
Anyway, Jackson is dead. Let him rest in peace.
If Corey Feldman, who idolized and hung out with MJ quite a lot as a kid, never mentioned any, it didn’t happen.
Corey, first of all, has never shied away from any publicity in any form, and second, has later in life discussed actual cases of abuse when he was a kid and has become a crusader outing Hollywood child abusers.
I have heard enough other analysis to assuage my initial suspicions of the man, but the Feldman thing is the quickest to lay out.
