I love Mad Max but The Road Warrior is simply better, it’s a perfect sequel which expands upon a good idea. Thunderdome was excellent as well.

Logan was brilliant too. I grew up on those Wolverine and X-Men comic books, I still have a shit ton of them bagged and boxed. Excellent movie, Jackman was the perfect guy for the role.
Original Mad Max is just OK for me. Road Warrior is one of my all time favorites. It truly is a perfect sequel
Oh yes, The Road Warrior is certainly the superior film but I liked how Mad Max set up this hopeless future where bad gunmen in fast cars are constantly chasing or being chased and Max is the best of them. I don’t even think they had sequels in mind, they just made the thing and it was some piece of work.
shareRocky II, The Empire Strikes Back, Superman II and Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom were rare sequels that matched or even outdid the originals.
It’s pretty impressive how writers can take a great character or cast and give them a whole new story and it’s sometimes even better the second time.
