I strongly disagree.
A positive father figure teaches a young lady what she should expect from a man in terms of earnings, housing and security and teaches his boy how to be a man and work.

Active, steadfast and money earning men are vital to society and nice neighborhoods.

Neither.

I love my mother, and I think most of my siblings (4) are closer to her, but I'm "my father's son" :) I look a lot like him, as well
I'm also the only one who goes fishing with him (clichée, I know)

My Grandma. I've never been close with my dad. And my mom was never around when I was growing up.

I'm gay. My mother of course.

So wrong. Not having a strong father presence in families is a major problem - at least in the US.

And frankly, Im so tired of man bashing and women who blame men for all of the problems in the world.

My mother because she was there for us thick and thin.
