Favourite Breed of Dog

Husky.

I plan on getting one in the future.

Well I certainly think people who want a dog should consider adopting one at their local humane society, but when it comes to a purebred, I love the lovable Pug. For a larger dog, the Labrador Retriever.

But really, I love virtually all dogs regardless of breed or mix.

I like the syberian Husky

Best dog I ever had was a Manchester Terrier.

I've had 2. Please make sure you have time and place for the dog to get a lot of exercise.

We had several Border Collies in the past that were very smart and had unending energy. Currently we have a German Shepherd that is amazingly smart. Both breeds need lots of attention and wide open spaces for exercise. Both are faithful and who needs an alarm system when you have a German Shepherd in the house.

A real dog expert once told me: "Either get your dog from the very best breeders, or get a nice healthy mutt from the pound. Nothing in between!".

Which is good advice, because the "in between" is purebred dogs who are bred by less-than-stellar breeder... and those dogs have a very high rate of health problem. Do you want a dog that will first win your heart and then suffer from chronic health issues, and run up huge vet bills? You don't! So either get a mutt that needs a home and that has hybrid vigor on its side, or get a really good quality healthy purebred.

Huskies need a lot of exercise. Like a few hours a day exercise, and not just a walk around the block. They also don't like being left alone as they are very social. So do consider that before getting one.

It’s a long haired German Shepherd.

that's a big backyard

It’s 2 acres and the deck on my mower just messed up. Lol

reply

that's big enough for a Pool

A force to be reckoned with and very pretty.

My neighbor across the way, a cop, has a big fella that looks just like her. Beautiful dog and even though he could probably kill me he’s a surprisingly sweet doggie, even around my angry idiot little pooch.

“even around my angry idiot little pooch”

It’s funny how some small dogs think they are bigger than they are. I have a Rat Terrier with that condition.

Napoleon Complex 😄

It would be interesting to know the height of some of the posters on this forum.

Ha!
I have some thoughts on this but I’ll leave it alone.
