shareThere was a doctor in the UK named Harold Shipman who probably killed between 200-250 of his patients. Only 15 of them are considered confirmed because they were only able to do autopsies on that many of the suspicious deaths.
His patients had a habit of dying not long after a home visit from the doctor. He was able to get away with it for decades because on their own the deaths didn't look that suspicious. Most of his victims were over the age of 60, and an older person passing away suddenly at home wasn't that suspicious. The fact that they died right after a home visit from the doctor just seemed like a coincidence. It wasn't until some people noticed how often it was happening that there was an investigation.

shareI remember when Dahmer was found competent to stand trial, I was at odds with myself. I disagreed because everything I read seemed to indicate he was totally insane. At the same time, I was glad because I realized he would never be getting out if he was ever "cured".
