Christopher Hitchins.

George Orwell. He died when he wasn’t too old so it would be great seeing where his writing would go.

Frank Zappa.

Remember a prime time network news poll in NYC (CBS iirc) from when he was seriously considering a 1992 run for president before he got sick, and the results were something like 90% in his favor. This was when people had to make a phone call, not click a link.

I wasn’t crazy about his synclavier studio music output of the time, but he was constantly exploring different styles/genres and could have toured more.

Regardless of the election, he was a great outspoken mind and cultural/political commentator, and the world would be a better place were he still in it.
