I get to see another living legend!

I can't believe he's coming down to 'Sunny' Bournemouth.

Setlist:

Watching the River Flow
Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine
I Contain Multitudes
False Prophet
When I Paint My Masterpiece
Black Rider
My Own Version of You
I'll Be Your Baby Tonight
Crossing the Rubicon
To Be Alone With You
Key West (Philosopher Pirate)
Gotta Serve Somebody
I've Made Up My Mind to Give Myself to You
That Old Black Magic (Johnny Mercer cover)
Mother of Muses
Goodbye Jimmy Reed
Every Grain of Sand

reply

I've heard they've banned mobile phones tonight. Good for the BIC.

reply

Yep! All phones will be placed in a lockable pouch. A shame because it would have been nice to get a photo of him.

reply

Never heard of him. Is he related to the singer of The Wallflowers?

reply

Apparently so.

reply

I couldn't understand why The Wallflowers were getting so much airplay until I learned the group was founded by Jakob Dylan. I always thought they were vastly overrated.

Nepotism struck again.

reply

Best lyricist ever!

reply

‘Like A Rolling Stone’ Spirit version excellent

‘Changing Of The Guard’ the Patti Smith version is pretty damn good

‘Positively 4th Street’

reply

I’m really looking forward to this.

reply

I’m sure you are...I would be!
I had a chance to see Pink Floyd in 1980 at The Spectrum in Philadelphia. But, was more interested in the ‘new’ girl at the time! Silly me!

reply

I’ve been fortunate enough to have seen over a thousand gigs - I’m trying to see as many of the old guard as I can before it’s too late.

reply

The last time I saw him he was superb. I hope you get a great show !

reply

Thanks. I still can’t believe this is happening right on my doorstep.

reply

At 81 he’s still got it. Backed by a 5 piece band, we got a Bluegrass version of his songs.

reply

He thrives on performing. He gets lot of love from his people, I believe it sustains him. It is by no means an 'oldies' act.

reply

give me the set list.

reply

I’ll post it tomorrow 👍

i guess he is tired of doing his big hits.

reply

Honestly, I’m not a massive fan. I just took advantage to witnesses a living legend on my doorstep.

reply

The only song I recognize (besides The Old Black Magic cover) is When I Paint My Masterpiece, and I'll be blasphemous and say I'm sure I like the Grateful Dead cover better.

reply

I think a lot of people rate the covers that have been over the years over the originals.

reply

Will there be an on-stage interpreter? Or closed captioning on a big screen?

reply

At one point I think he thanked us all for coming, but to be quite honest, he may have been asking a roadie for a glass of water.

A story about the night Ringo was in the audience

reply

Maybe Ringo was in the audience 🤔

I saw Dylan once. 1992 Orpheum Theater, Minneapolis, MN. It was a treat to see him in a beautiful old school theater. His backup band was excellent, as you might expect. Dylan himself--well, honest, I couldn't get past that voice. He is not my favorite singer to say the least.
