Recommend a movie that you think would make most people nostalgic.

Just give me any movie recommendation that you think will make me nostalgic. Recommend something that you think, watching it, would make most people feel nostalgic. I am not giving you any details about me like my geographical location or age or anything to attract different kinds of movies.

Revenge of the Nerds (1984)

The neverending story

reply

Did you know that the horse died when they filmed the swamp scene 😬

reply

Whaaaat??? Accidentally?

reply

Yep, it’s absolutely true - the horse died as a result of that scene, depending on which story you believe.

reply

Fuck…

reply

After the initial outcry came the coverup.

reply

Nah, it's an urban legend. The horse did panic, even though it had been trained for that scene.

reply

Absolutely true VS Urban legend… I am lost in between.

Driller Killer (1979)

Ah, those were the days 💭

reply

Back in the days when New York needed Charles Bronson. 😀

reply

I want a Driller Killer/Maniac (80) double feature at the nearby retro theater, sadly they shut down for good.

It was the kind of place you could watch oldies for a few bucks a ticket and they sometimes hosted 12 hour horror marathons.

reply

I can’t tell you how bad I would love to live near a place that showed retro cult films. That must have been wonderful.

reply

At the marathons the lobby was full of dealers selling old vinyl, comics, memorabilia, posters… It was awesome, I really miss the place since they shuttered.

They looked the other way when most of the audience snuck in beers too😁

reply

Holy shit! It sounds like a dream come true.

reply

The Princess Bride?

reply

Which was basically Inception, but with books.

reply

lol!

Back to the Future (1985)

reply

That was going to be my sensible pick before I was overwhelmed with immaturity.

Any of the Christmas-themed films, like A Christmas Story (1983) or Home Alone (1990).

Back to the Future.
