What was the name of THAT movie?

Hi.

A mid 90s, I believe from 1997 or so, film, about a woman in an American prison (played by either Mimi Rogers or Mimi/Mini Diver, I forgot what her name was) being interviewed by the journalist, a male one (not that it makes much of a difference here, from what I remember), whilst being on death sentence, for murder?

No its not "Last Dance" (1996) with Sharon Stone nor was it that same year released 1994 American counterpart to New Zealand's masterpiece "Heavenly Creatures" by Peter Jackson called "Fun" (1994) although the vibe of both movies in a way can be felt.

Anyone know what film it is, thanks.

P.S. As much as I don't even remember what the film is CALLED and I don't remember thinking too much of the movie (maybe a 5 or a 6/10 at best), I remember, seeing it as a kid back around the year 1999 or 2000, it actually got me thinking about female criminals and prisoners and if they differ much to their male counterparts, thing is - I felt a sense of affected morbid silence and I didn't really feel happy or ready to gloat at her punishment. Granted OK I don't remember, if she was innocent or not, probably not, but you see this STREAK of my threads (though I don't think she committed, for one, any offenses of a sexual nature in any way) dealing with related subjects, stretches back to THOSE times and the golden late night TV of late 90s and early 00s in UK, AND ALS0 - I WAS NOT ONE BIT WORRIED that SOMEONE OUT THERE WOULD JUDGE ME in case even HERE I got any opinions "wrong". Freedom, oh yeah.

P.P.S. Consensually from both sides, I might be wrong, but I think her and that male interviewer either kiss or make love, I think in UK that film got an 18 certificate. Hasn't happened to me yet (shall I keep dreaming?) but anyways... Cheers...

Maybe Reflections on s Crime.

It is indeed. Released in 1994. With a pre-Titanic Billy Zane.

Also. Even though she may have killed her husband, why do they put her on death penalty in the movie, why not just a prison sentence, however long?

I wonder, has anyone seen that movie?
