I agree with smoke-free zones in restauarants, theaters or any other small venues where there is gathering of people in one area. But outside in your own home or in an open area away from general public, smoke away!

I don't get smoking in general, it is well known now that it is bad for you and expensive. What makes someone say "I'm not only going to burn my money but also pollute my body!"
Although I wouldn't recommend anyone start vaping, harm reduction is absolutely not dumb. If someone wants nicotine, vaping is infinitely less harmful than smoking cigarettes, which kills almost half a million Americans annually.

Looking into the story, this kid had an extremely rare allergic reaction to an ingredient in the vape liquid, so I stand by my point, vaping is infinitely safer than smoking. Public Health England agrees and claims it is 95 per cent less harmful than smoking and urges smokers to switch.
I don't think smoking should be allowed in any indoor public place, and outside, I'm fine with no smoking at like a festival or a park or something, but just on the sidewalk or something, I don't get too upset. Especially if there is traffic idling in the same area.

shareYeah, they are selfish, smoking is an addiction. But their selfishness is rarely intended to harm others; they just think of their own needs in the moment and nothing outside of that. That said, it's pretty hard to find an isolated area that's safe and comfortable to smoke in that doesn't affect non-smokers, so it's not like it's easy to be considerate all the time.
