don't care what others say, that's just the way it is.
There is a biological underpinning to the institution; male and female; and from that union, children raised by a father and a mother.
This is the basic cornerstone of society.
We discard it to our own ruin.
Look at what's happened to society since the 'marriage equality' nonsense: they've removed boys and girls areas in Target, they are teaching children to be 'non binary' and Disney won't even say 'ladies and gentleman, boys and girls!'
Society has gone to hell in a handbasket by removing this very simple yet important cornerstone.
Is ‘he’ still a middle-aged man with a handsome young gay lover that may be running around on him or is he a 21 year old guy trying to become an actor over there in Hollywood? It’s kind of hard keeping up with all of these stupid lies.
Telling a gay person to be attracted to someone of the opposite sex is like telling a straight person to be attracted to someone of the same sex. You can't choose your attraction.
No. You can choose the definition of what you belive to be what a conventional relationship is, but that doesn't speak for all. Being right-handed is conventional and the world favours those who are right-handed, but that doesn't mean the 10% of people who are left-handed don't count because they are not the other 90%.
When I was a kid I often visited the Bronx Zoo, they used to have peanut dispensers, you put a quarter in and got a fistful of peanuts and you could chuck them to the monkeys…boy oh boy did those monkeys like the peanuts we chucked at them!
You've answered your own question. We have drawn the line. We drew the line at one marriage, anything else is illegal. We drew the line with making it illegal to marry someone under the age of 18. We drew the line on not being allowed to marry animals.
I guess if that's your standard, pedophilia is 'biological'.
I'm speaking of the union of man and woman, from which flows their biological children; and the need for the species to be raised by their father and mother.
Most adults with criminal backgrounds didn't have a mother and a father in a stable family background.
Are you actually married? Bought a property? Fathered children that you love and raise right? Been loyally in love for decades with the same Gal?
I doubt it…you seem like a broken piker boy past his prime that likes to wish death on fine people and amounts to nothing in the end…Your parents must roll their eyes at you every time you visit.
You are a pathetic liar and a worthless bum, start a new account troll.
My thoughts are that one post on the topic may be free speech, but several posts seems to indicate that you are in violation of the sites standards. #2, also #5. I'd say under prohibited content perhaps #3, and #4.
I'm catholic. I was told that Moses parted the Red Sea, that it was possible to put 2 of every creature on an ark made by one man, Jesus fed 5000 people with some fish and a loaf of bread, and that a man was executed and resurrected after 3 days of chilling in a tomb by himself. Is that really what you want to go with?
Weird how you want to renounce the teachings of that faith while still proclaiming to be a part of it. Similar to, "I hate people yet want to be the center of attention here on a daily basis." (eye-roll)
Lots of religions say that marriage is between one man and 2-300 women! If you say that marriage is only between one man and one women, you're insulting the faith of billions!
And no biologist has ever said that there's a scientific basis for limiting breeding to life-bonded pairs. Human reproduction is reproduction, from a genetic or biological POV there's no difference between kids who are bred and raised by bonded or married pairs, children who are bred by people who are bred through more randomized methods, children who are bred through IVF or sperm donation, or children who are bred by people who can't raise them and who need to be adopted by others. No, the main reason that it's considered better for married people to breed than singles is economic, hardly anyone can afford to raise a child solo, anywhere in the world.
Standards
2. No trolling, flaming, spamming or unsolicited advertising
5. Do not attempt to evade these Standards or the enforcement thereof by creating multiple accounts, using different IP addresses or proxies, or any other means of evasion
Prohibited Content:
3. Content that harasses, intimidates or bullies an individual or group of individuals
4.Content that incites hatred against, promotes discrimination of, or disparages an individual or group on the basis of their race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or other characteristic that is associated with systemic discrimination or marginalization
This isn't trolling; I don't have multiple accounts; this is a sane debate not promoting hatred; didn't even mention other forms of "marriage" in my OP, but stated my opinion of what marriage is.
Why even discuss this on a movie site? Also, if you can’t resist posting about such things on a movie site, why wouldn’t you post this in the political section where there are people who would be interested?
If your broad interpretation is accurate, it would be difficult to distinguish the principle to allow samoanjoe’s rebuttal argument regarding the religious beliefs of Catholics, above. It’s just my personal opinion but I’m not seeing violations in either poster’s comments. And I’m more concerned that the urge to censor will always produce unintended consequences
My broad interpretation is about Connie's history of posts that are anti gay. It's not this post in particular that is bullying, but when you look at the pattern it becomes an issue. I don't think that this post in particular is bullying, nor do I find samoanjoes comment to be bullying or inciting hatred. In one other post that Connie posted around the same time as this one another user linked to the number of posts Connie93 has recently had on the subject, to differing degrees of inciting hatred against the gay community.
Multiple posts suggest trolling, and there is a very strong belief that Connie is also moviebuff244/intothenight/ticketsplease/pressplay. So, while I don't think that every post needs censorship, I think that Connie is in violation of site standards. I very well may be wrong, and if I am the mods will do nothing and life will go on.
Okay. Fair enough. I thought you were only talking about what was written here. I’m sympathetic to some things he says but not all and I feel the same about things you post. I always respect you as I hope I have demonstrated.
One of my favorite Uncles is gay and he’s been sharing his life and a nice little house with the same gay guy for 40 years…it’s not even a topic of conversation amongst my old school Irish Catholic family members anymore, Uncle Ricky just likes that guy, they’ve been together for 40 years…Meanwhile I know many straight couples that are divorced or soon will be, my very kind sister in law is breaking up with her dopey husband because the idiot can’t keep his dick in his pants, and he has young kids too!
Lay off the gays and their right to be married, it’s not like most of us straights do such a great job at being married and keeping a peaceful home.
Pretty much the radicals have hated every aspect of traditional society. They don't like:
- white, straight, Christian people being in charge
- teaching proper discipline and manners to kids
- respecting the law
- stable marriages between men and women
- dads that stay with the family and part of their kids' lives
- kids having responsible parents that actually care about their well-being
- law and order
- the law applying to everyone equally (you do the crime, you do the time)
- earning your own money through hard work
- getting jobs through merit (like choosing the best over what skintone you have or what sex you are)
- using common sense science
- being proud of being an American
- having America be a super-power
So they have been working, pretty much since WWII, to bring down America from within. Think about what kind of people hate the above aspects of traditional American society. They typically are people who come from broken homes, or live in the liberal elite bubble, having no real concept of how society actually works, vs. the warped image that the media pumps into their empty heads. Quite a lot of them are feminazis who hate men and want to destroy men in our society as revenge for whatever wrongs men did to them while growing up, rather than moving on from the sexism of the past. You have black people who have no idea their society was destroyed by the very politicians they vote for! And yet they all blame people on the Right for their troubles.
Also, I think it’s bloody hilarious when conservatives bring up marriage and try to paint it as some scared, untouchable gold standard of heterosexual values. If it’s so great why do 50% of marriages end in divorce?
Because of women's lib. Gendered roles help in a successful marriage. A man should be the head of house, and the woman should be at his side, serving him and the family. None of this "I don't cook, I don't clean" mentality.
Ah, it’s all the woman’s fault, that’s a surprising theory. While your thoughts on female servitude are charming and not antiquated at all, how does a supposed 20 year old find himself as an authority on such matters, with no personal experience on the dynamics of marriage himself?
Wow, you are awful at assigning gender roles you big dummy. Nobody cares about ‘woman’s lib,’ that’s all an ancient joke now, no one cares about that stuff silly!
I ran around and screwed 19 pretty Ladies, I married number 20.
She is the one I married.
I bring home a large paycheck, I carry my Woman’s bags when she comes home each evening, this woman never gets rained on, I meet my Girl with an umbrella. This one is my gal, she will never feel rain or hot sun, I take good care of my Lady.
