That's not a car.

That’s not a Plane!

That’s a fish

Needs a bigger donk !

My first car was a Silverado and it was an absolute money hole.

What year was it?

88. V8, extended cab, full size bed. It was a monster. Even when it was running good, I was dumping my whole paycheck into the gas tank every week. It was only 7 years old when I had it, but everything imaginable would go wrong with the thing.

Got a beat up old K-car after that, never had to put a dime into it. Ran like a boss.

That was the first year of the new body style if I remember correctly. I’ve had an 89’ and a 92’.

My son has one and he loves it, but he uses a truck for many things and has 3 kids to tote around.

Why do you want a truck? Unless you need one for work or hobbies - like towing a boat or an RV, why one so big?

reply

For camping and my jetski. Thinking ahead to spring.

reply

Considering gas prices, which I don't think are going to go down, I'd look for something more fuel efficient.

Do you jetski ocean or lake?

reply

Lake

My only recommendation is don’t buy a Triumph TR7. That was my first car and it was a giant pain in the rear.

I’ve had at least 10 Chevy trucks for my personal vehicle over the years, do mechanic work and buy and sell cars for a living. I’ve also hauled heavy trailers long distances for years.

2016 chevy 1500 series trucks are great but all vehicles have things that tend to go wrong as you put miles on them. For trucks Toyota is very dependable but if your going to be hauling anything Ford, Dodge or Chevy would probably be better. A Chevy truck holds its resale value really well also and in my area are actually selling high because of short supply.
