I'm not a fan of 80s or 90s movies

I just find movies made in that era hard to get into.

2000s movies and onwards are just more modern looking and have decent pacing.

I tried ET once and couldn't understand the appeal.

Back to the future and Jurassic Park are slow, weird pacing, over long scenes.

I feel like people get pacing these days and it just works. It's a movie.

Have you tried Fatima's Coochee Coochee Dance? I never get tired of watching that one, one of the best '90s movies in my opinion!

I prefer the uncensored version.

reply

Then don’t watch them.

"I tried ET once and couldn't understand the appeal."

It's basically a modern-day fairy tale targeted to preteen kids. A lot of adults feel the same way about it, even some who originally saw it as a child. I know a guy who saw it when he was in elementary school and remembers the film as being "extremely boring."

reply

MAC & ME IS VASTLY SUPERIOR.

reply

The different pacing is a necessity these days because a lot of people now have the attention span of an amoeba and lose their focus and look away at their phone unless there is nonstop action on screen.

reply

The stupidphone is another scourge of today's society. People are becoming increasingly dumbed-down and lazy as they become more dependent of these ridiculous electronic crutches. The sad part is they are doing this to themselves voluntarily.

reply

They should dread the day there is some weird solar flare or something and the internet goes down.

reply

The phone zombies would be totally unable to function without their toys. It would be pandemonium.

reply

How am i supposed to know how to tie my shoes if I can't youtube a demo video? Mooooooom! Come tie my shoes!

reply

Couldn't disagree with you more.

reply

Guys don’t waste your breath, this is probably a millennial that was raised on one minute TikTok videos and 10 minutes YouTube clips.

It’s not a question of pacing, it’s a question of attention span.

reply

True man, I have a very limited attention span. I don't enjoy exploration of characters if it's self serving or just a monologue for some actor to show us his chomps.

reply

Don’t ever watch no country for old men!!

You’ve been warned!

reply

Great film. 👍

reply

Too much chomps. 2/10

reply

I always thought of it as quite chomp free.

CHOMPS?...LMAO
