Loneliness-themed movies that fit the description (please read the description)

Looking for movies that have loneliness as a major theme. Loneliness because of not having many friends and lack of a partner. Movies like Cast Away (2000) do not fit the bill. The movie Her (2013) on the other hand, somewhat does. I am looking for a relatable (non-sci-fi) believable movie.

Italian for Beginners (2000). Beautiful and emotional movie. A must watch.

Can't help but think of the 1969 TV movie Silent Night, Lonely Night.
Not recommending it, but something about the title and content has always stuck in my mind.
