Favorite Pixar films

With a few exceptions here & there, Pixar films can be enjoyed by both kids & adults. Like 90% of their films are 'for everyone.' So I wanted to know about...

a) Your first Pixar film(experience)
b) Your absolute favorite Pixar film
b) Your top 5 favorite Pixar films

I'll go first,

a) Monsters Inc was my first

b) Up is Still my favorite Pixar film

c) And finally, my top 5 favorites are:

1. Up

2. Toy Story 1 or 3. Sorry. Can't pick one. They're both great imo.

3. Monsters Inc. Rewatched it recently after a looong time & I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It's such a good film. Miles better than the sequel.

4. The Incredibles

5. WALL-E

Honorable mentions to Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Inside Out & Coco

reply

reply

A) I don't know what my first Pixar movie was, but I recall seeing FINDING NEMO when it came out in theaters. I was about eight and remember being enchanted by the story.

B) My favorite is UP, though THE INCREDIBLES gives it staunch competition.

C) My top five are UP, THE INCREDIBLES, TOY STORY, MONSTERS INC., and TOY STORY 2.

I confess I haven't been as impressed with Pixar's recent output. I enjoyed ONWARD and SOUL though, and am hoping they can recapture the same blend of quality and originality they achieved between 1995 and 2010.

reply

I loved Soul. Onward was pretty entertaining. And Luca was just OK.

Honestly, Soul honestly felt like 'back to form for Pixar. And I definitely agree, their recent offerings felt weak. At least by Pixar standards
