The Fifth Element.

I was so damn hyped for this film! It had been billed as this huge sci-fi epic and I couldn’t wait to see it. What a disappointment, it was absolute crap!

reply

Yeah I remember it being garish and campy, not what I wanted from a Bruce Willis and Luc Besson collaboration.

There are so many films that fail to live up to the hype, especially now that most hype is manufactured by ‘critics’ with a woke political agenda.

But certainly Blade Runner 2049 was massively dull, I had to keep reminding myself how nice it looked to get through it - the characters certainly weren’t engaging. To be honest they’re not great in the first BR but at least that one had an incredible cyber-noir world and dreamy synth-sax score.

Manchester By The Sea was another recent example. Not a bad film at all but pretentious and overhyped.

Another two:

Boyhood: One trick with boring script & bad actors - I hate it so much.
V for Vendetta - Stupid Marxist propaganda that supports terrorism and with play by ridicules characters.
