G vs. E was good. But i believe that ran for 2 season if i remember right.

reply

It did. Does not count.

Tea Leoni, and some douche guy doing Woodie Allen impersonations. The show was great. The sexual tension was spectacular. The fact there was NO WAY this dickless wonder was gong to bone her was hilarious.

Tia Leoni. Dickless Wonder (like “Woody (vomit) Allen” porking,. Yeah, right.

reply

Do you remember the show or are you just reading reviews about it to form an opinion?

reply

I watched every episode. I stand by my statement. Contemporary reviewers wrote that the guy was doing a terrible impersonation of Woody Allen. Leoni has always been breathtaking.

Another one I liked was Cape Wrath (sometimes alternately titled as Meadowlands). A family is given new identities and moved to a town in a witness protection arrangement. The town turns out to be a very weird place. Unfortunately the show only lasted eight episodes. Low ratings, I guess.

Interesting premise.

> Interesting premise.

Yeah, sorta like Goodfellas mixed with Twin Peaks. Every once in a while Showtime airs it.

On a side note, I had never heard of Lucy Cohu until I saw this. She was sexy as hell in it.

reply

Can you imagine Scorsese and Lynch co-directing a show? Now THAT would be something to watch.

“Star-Crossed” 2014

Ended after one season and it had a rating of 7.3! That’s good numbers! I loved that show!

To be honest I watched it because of Matt Lanter. Such a hunk! I may be old, old, but you’re never too old to appreciate a thing of beauty! I can still dream and my heart still goes pitter patter when I see something like him! He showed up later in “Timeless” another good TV show which lasted for only two seasons. It ended with a 7.7 rating. Go figure!

reply

Another good one was Forever. So much potential there.

reply

Forever deserved more seasons. There was another show from around 10 years ago on FOX Called New Amsterdamn that was very similar to Forever about an immortal cop.Only lasted half a season but i remember really liking that as well.

reply

I know the reason it was cancelled was because it didn't earn enough revenue to cover the licensing fees. But it got kicked in the ratings being opposite Person of Interest. If they had known POI was also going to be cancelled the very next season, I wonder if they would have given it another chance.

Spotless

great call on Garth Marenghi - a wonderful spoof of low-rent 80's tv

reply

Good call on Spotless.

Right? I thought Garth Marenghi was wonderfully inventive but feel like you could fit everyone who watched it into Abbey Stadium.

reply

perhaps :) but my 20-something daughter got a kick out of it, which kind of surprised me. we have similar absurdist tastes, though.
