Most forums are run by a clique. The mods tend to be part of that clique and will support trolls they are friends with (or even be trolls themselves) over genuine members.
After a while all the site has left is trolls as all the real members have left then the site folds and we are all meant to feel upset about it.
Would it not make sense to ask them?
