Sequels you wanted to see

Here’s a list of a few I’d of love to have seen a year or so after the original, but not now.

Cobra – Marion "Cobra" Cobretti had an iconic look with his Ray-Ban 3030 sunglasses and his Submachine Gun, another cinematic outing perhaps in the early 90’s would have been welcome.

Commando - John Matrix really was a man of his word it turns out, by turning down an offer to return to his Special Forces Unit at the very end of the movie! I’d have loved to have seen Arnold return to this role for another Ramboesque action adventure rather than churn out those unfunny comedies he did in the early 90’s.

Leon– A grown up Mathilda out for revenge and using the skills taught to her by Leon would have made an excellent sequel.

Reservoir Dogs – This would rely heavily on flashbacks showing the heist we never saw from the first movie, perhaps it could interweave with Pulp Fiction by showing the relationship of the Vega Brothers too.

Trading Places – More of a spin-off than sequel, I always wanted to watch a movie centred on the dastardly Dukes after their cameo in Coming to America!

What sequels would you have like to have seen that never got made?

reply

Trading Places sequel - One not so good thing, when it comes to Jamie Lee Curtis character, because,

By the end of the movie Ophelia traded places with Penelope Whitespoon, and Penelope's best friend Constance was always on the make...

🎵 Muffy in the bathroom stall,
Margaret by the lake.
Susan down in Whitley Hall,
Constance on the make.

Constance Fry, Constance Fry, anytime you call.
Constance would fulfil, your needs –
Winter, Spring or Fall.🎵

That's Disney's next move, advancing their woke LGBT agenda.

THIS IS A REAL THREAD WITH GENUINE RESPONSES...WHY DON'T YOU TWO GO JERK EACH OTHER OFF IN THE BUSHES.

reply

It is real. You seriously haven't noticed Disney pushing that agenda? Isn't the CEO gay? I heard something about that.

YOU CAN FUCK OFF WITH YOUR BULLSHIT...I AM NOT THE AUDIENCE FOR IT.

THAT WOULD SEEM TO BE AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF YOUR SEXUAL PREFERENCES...GOOD FOR YOU...ONE STEP CLOSER TO ADMITTING YOUR TRUTH.

reply

Pray tell, what would you know about my sexual preferences? Drug induced delusions don't count.

reply

DRUG INDUCED DELUSIONS ASIDE...I WOULD IMAGINE EVEN YOU KNOW VERY LITTLE ABOUT YOUR SEXUAL PREFERENCES.

reply

Your armchair psychology skills are non-existent.

I DO NOT OWN AN ARMCHAIR AND SPEAKING ON CLEAR AS DAY FACTS DOES NOT QUALIFY AS PSYCHOLOGY.

TRY BEING A NICER PERSON...I BET PEOPLE WILL RESPOND IN A DESIRED FASHION.

Hahahaha! You now nothing! What are these "facts" you speak of?

P.S. I'm the nicest person you could ever hope to meet. 😘

reply

The Last Starfighter (1984) deserved a sequel.

reply

I would have loved an 80's or early 90's sequel, if the sequel ever does get made it would probally be about a son or daughter of the Last Starfighter.

reply

Yeah because the movie itself was kind of like the prologue, the training phase. The sequel could have been the real threat beyond the Kodan or the real Kodan Armada.

reply

There was talk of a now scrapped sequel idea in which Lance Guest and Catherine Marie Stewart were going to come back as parents. But it looks like that will never happen now.

If ever they revisit the Last Starfighter I think a TV show with a fresh cast is now the only way to go, again set in the 80's telling Alex Rogan's story.

No country for old men : just Chigurgh getting what's coming to him

reply

A direct sequel to Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978 would have been great, I'd have loved to have seen Donald Sutherland return and see how the world was full of Body Snatchers, with the plot focused on a few humans pretending to fit in.
