Sequels you wanted to see

Here’s a list of a few I’d of love to have seen a year or so after the original, but not now.

Cobra – Marion "Cobra" Cobretti had an iconic look with his Ray-Ban 3030 sunglasses and his Submachine Gun, another cinematic outing perhaps in the early 90’s would have been welcome.

Commando - John Matrix really was a man of his word it turns out, by turning down an offer to return to his Special Forces Unit at the very end of the movie! I’d have loved to have seen Arnold return to this role for another Ramboesque action adventure rather than churn out those unfunny comedies he did in the early 90’s.

Leon– A grown up Mathilda out for revenge and using the skills taught to her by Leon would have made an excellent sequel.

Reservoir Dogs – This would rely heavily on flashbacks showing the heist we never saw from the first movie, perhaps it could interweave with Pulp Fiction by showing the relationship of the Vega Brothers too.

Trading Places – More of a spin-off than sequel, I always wanted to watch a movie centred on the dastardly Dukes after their cameo in Coming to America!

What sequels would you have like to have seen that never got made?

💀KING CONAN⚔️

...rumor of a sequel is decades old at this point and it kills me to admit it but that ship has likely sailed

We only got the dark, violent and perfect original plus a slapstick sequel that totally slammed the breaks on the grim tone of the 82 film but was still somewhat enjoyable

They should have done King Conan a long time ago but back then Arnold was busy with all sorts of personal drama (Governor of California, screwing the maid, divorce proceedings, a new kid...a really heavy bunch of stuff)

The 90s were his end really

Now he's in his 70s, I don't think we'll ever see a King Conan:(

Prime Video abandoned making a Conan The Barbarian TV Series, I doubt Arnold would have been in it anyway but I'd love to see another movie set in the Hyborian Age. Robert Eggers or Denis Villeneuve would be my choice to direct.

The problem with recasting Conan is that Arnie is a tough act to follow. I thought Mamoa had the physicality to take over the role but that script just stunk. I sometimes rewatch the first twenty minutes when Conan is just a little Barbarian boy earning his place in his tribe. From there on it’s just not a good movie.

They really missed the boat with this project, King Conan was a terrific comic and could have been a really excellent script.

reply

Mamoa was fine as Conan it's just too bad the script stunk, I can't even rewatch five minutes of that monstrosity.

Titanic II - Jack's back and this time he's staying afloat!

Rambo VI - John Rambo is in a nursing home and care attendants are abusing the residents! He starts to equip his wheelchair with rocket launchers...

Tootsie II - Michael Dorsey Jr dresses like a woman to score roles in films only to be shamed by the Cancel Culture hordes. Madness and gnashing of teeth ensues.
