Do you answer the door even when you're not expecting company?

What if thats the only contact method they have?
They dont have your number ,
or u let your cellphone battery run out,

Theres you ignoring the door , when you loved one is dying in hospital and they sent someone to let you know

Yes, I will answer.
But then, no one comes here apart from postal deliveries as I live rurally.
We don’t get cold callers like in urban areas.

There is a cat that comes to my front door every afternoon for Fancy Feast. He is the only visitor I give the courtesy of answering the door for.

Sometimes I lose my temper. Even family and friends know I won't tolerate anyone knocking my door unless I'm expecting them. I hate to be interrupted by anything. It's another reason I turn my phone off by 7:00 p.m..
