The pronoun “one”

There is a lot of pronoun preferences being exerted nowadays, but why has no one embraced the gender neutral pronoun “one”.

I kind of like it.

- at an ice cream shop “Does one prefer chocolate or vanilla”.

- At work “Can one get that report in by Friday?”

One can all use it and go around sounding like royalty.

Definitely not James Hetfield and his boys, they don’t even mention the word ‘one’ despite this:

I’m like a piece of meat that just keeps on living.

Meat is cool, unless you’re Morrissey and you think otherwise....and if I was a women, I might like some ‘meat’ also, lol....but I’m a dude, so for me meat is a good steak, a filet mignon or t-bone will do....good morning, love, I hope it’s an awesome weekend for the great froggandtoad!

You too vastuntitled! Get crazy, embrace chaos, and have a good fucking time my dude!
Mmm filet mignon is oh so good!

I often use "one" instead of "you" because I don't want to sound like I'm projecting a behavior or action on a particular person when responding to their comment. Such as "If one doesn't like this, one can..." instead of "If you don't like this, you can..." because I'm really not trying to say that particular person thinks that way. It seems easier than saying "a person."

Dunno how I didn't think of that. But that's genius

Prince had it right with the symbol.
