When women claim they've become unexpectedly pregnant, what exactly are they saying -- they didn't know the guy they've become pregnant by ejaculated in them? They didn't know the guy was going to get them pregnant even though they knew he did that? He didn't ejaculate in them but his pre-seminal fluid was inside them, and they didn't think that would get them pregnant? What are they saying? It depends?

I wholeheartedly believe you posted this question because you wanted to talk about semen, since you mention it about four times in as many lines.

Unexpected pregnancy means it wasn't intentional. That's all you need to know.
Different woman, different answer.
Examples: A friend of mine became pregnant because she was told by her doctor when she was around nineteen that she would likely never have kids, with the chances of it happening .001% or something to that effect. As a result, she engaged in unprotected sex for over a decade before becoming pregnant one day out of the blue. Another friend's partner wanted to have children, whereas she didn't, so he poked a hole in every condom he used until she got pregnant, and then he revealed what he'd done. In other words, there's ways a woman can become unexpectedly pregnant - it's not impossible or even rare. Hence the multiple types of birth control and the warnings that come with all those.
