Remember the reality show boom of early 2000s?

Which ones were your favourite? Are reality shows still big today?

reply

I hate reality shows. All of them.

reply

Me too. I'm ashamed I watched some of them back in the day like that one with Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie. The only decent one I liked was "Survivor". I only watched the first season though where that gay guy won. I believe he was in legal trouble over his "Survivor" earnings. I can't believe "Survivor" is still running to this day.

reply

Wait, what happen with his winnings?

From his Wikipedia page:

"Following his Survivor win, Hatch was charged with tax evasion. He was convicted and served a 51-month sentence in federal prison. Hatch and his attorneys have argued that the prosecution and conviction were flawed because the IRS never completed the investigation of his 2000 and 2001 tax returns and never determined that any particular sum of taxes was due.[23] He served an additional nine months in prison for not amending his 2000 and 2001 tax returns.[21][23]"

I do too, with the exception of shows such as Border Patrol or whatever it was called. I've watched a few that follow first responders such as paramedics, ambulance drivers, or surgeons who accompany air ambulances to critical emergency sites. I find it interesting to see what kinds of situations they deal with every day.

I think they moved to competition shows now like hell kitchen, but to answer your question, I loved mtv "road rules" for some reason.

Never liked reality shoes akin to Jersey Shore and Housewives and the like.

Liked American Idol (moving to four judges ruined it and going back to three didn't save it)

These days I watch some of the Gordon Ramsay ones.
