Valeria from Conan (82)

She was super hot and tough (great girlfriend material right there!) and even after her death she came back to defend Conan when those goons were about to chop him up!

Valeria is the greatest movie BABE of all time

reply

She was amazing! I always wondered why she wasn’t a bigger star after that role.

reply

I think she was into her dancing career

Christopher Reeve's Superman.

Every woman I knew back in the day had a mad crush on him. Not just because he was incredibly attractive and charming and funny and well built, but as one woman said: "He's gentle because he's so strong! That's the ideal man right there.".

reply

He was really sexy and true his take on SuperMan was the perfect gentleman every girl dreams with. He is your classic hero many women dream with.

reply

That was the one time that any filmmaker let a superhero be completely decent and good. IMHO giving a superhero a dark side is the easy way to make them someone a movie viewer can identify with, but if you give Superman a dark side then he's not Superman.

It turns out that yes, contrary to popular belief it's possible to make a character who's good and selfless both interesting and attractive. Very attractive!

reply

I agree with you SuperMan has to be nice otherwise he wouldn’t be SuperMan unless it’s a different universe of the DC multiverse.

And it’s true that good and selfless characters can be very attractive to audiences. The MCU is the only current franchise that has constantly shone that to us. They show us they have flaws but at the End all the heroes are good people.

TV has put the Antihero in vogue but I think the Marvel Cinematic Universe has shone to us that heroes are cool as well.

It’s something that always bothers me with Batman on the big screen that every director just uses him as a pawn to make the joker shine. they make Batman movies to get excited writing about the Joker or the other villains.

No Batman director has made a Batman movie because he loves the character Batman. They make a Batman movie because they love it’s villains.

reply

"No Batman director has made a Batman movie because he loves the character Batman. They make a Batman movie because they love it’s villains. "

I don't know if that's true. The Tim Burton/Michael Keaton "Batman" movie was more about Batman himself than the Joker, same for "Batman Begins". But yes, once Batman has begun, then the villains to tend to take over the story.

And BTW most current Marvel and DC heroes have their flaws and their dark sides, the ones that don't, that are trying to do the same thing as the Superman of the 1980s, are Captain America and Wonder Woman. They are shown as having no dark side, as being completely good and decent at all times. And of like the Superman of 1980, they're shown as being completely out of step with the modern world.

reply

Well for Marvel less than DC. Especially how toned down they have been from their source material.

From what I read about the Comics Iron Man is that he is way much Darker in them, in the MCU he has a bit of a dark side but way less than the comics.

reply

He was the perfect Superman. The role he was born to play. Anyone around in the 70s and 80s thinks of his take on the character first.

Jessica Rabbit

Fuckin A RIGHT!

"I'm just drawn that way."

LOL I was hoping there was a Jessica Rabbit response in here.
