Public transport/viruses

I get the bus to work every morning and I'm surprised by the amount of people i see who don't wear gloves,i live in a cold climate (UK). With this whole coronavirus scare i would think people would be more careful. Buses are one of the dirtiest things and hundreds of people each day touch the handle bars etc,i wear my gloves all the time,yet people seem to touch these bars and even put there hands in their mouth/bite their nails,then they wonder why they get ill. Do any of you guys get public transport?

I don't know why there isn't hand sanitizers at the door of every exit of a bus or subway. I usually wash my hands at my destination.
