Nah
shareThe only good song 'The Freak' ever put out was the one about his pet rat Ben. Everything else was garbage. And there should be a special place in Hell reserved for him for starting his particular brand of nauseating music video that damn near everyone subsequently copied and still does to this day.
can't beat it :D 10/10
share10 for the song.
10 for the video.
Pure classic.
8/10

shareI give it a 3.
Without Van Halen it would be a 1.
But maybe Steve Lukather (the other guitarist for the song) would have done a great solo too. Probably would have.
It's not his best song but 3 is harshly low IMO.
shareI think there's maybe one or two of his songs that I liked.
shareWhich ones?
shareI don't know the names of them. I think one is called Human Nature. Sound familiar?
And the other is the one that has some African sounding chant in it. It was a big hit in the early 80s. Something like "mumba say mumba saw mumbu wah fooo saw". LOL.
I've heard of Human Nature but I've never listened to it. Honestly, I only mainly like most of his stuff up till "Dangerous". After that, I stopped listening. Maybe only like 2-3 songs after "Dangerous".
For the second song you're talking about, I believe is "Wanna Be Starting Something". Is it this one?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Uj3zitETs4. It's decent.
My personal favourite is "Billie Jean" which is his signature hit.
Yeah that's it.
I'm sure he would have done fine. The part he did was great.
shareYes.
You've probably heard the song "Talk to Ya Later" by The Tubes? If so you probably know that it's Steve Lukather who plays the blazing guitar solos in that song. For the longest time I thought it just happened to be their guitarist (I don't much of their music maybe one or two other songs). Found out about 5 or so yrs ago it was Lukather.
No, I never knew that was him. I know he did a ton of session work.
