If someone replies to your post/comment...
Show some respect and reply as well, please.
shareAgreed.
shareLMAO...I ALSO AGREE.
shareI'm starting to get really tired to take my time to write long and thoughtful answers, only to be ignored. Once you receive an answer to something you wrote, it's your obligation to take your time to answer imo.
shareI'm glad someone with 86 posts here, is making the rules.
shareM.C. Cock on the microphone! Yeah I will generally reply unless the conversation is going nowhere.
shareI try to, sometimes there isn't much to comment on or I have commented and the discussion has just reached a natural conclusion.
This is why a "Thumbs Up" or "Agree" button would be useful. A way to acknowledge someone's post without having to write something which may be kind of pointless.
Amen!
share👍
shareA thumbs up button would be nice. I'd like to be able to embed videos and gifs as well, but that is another subject.
shareThat would turn the politics boards into an even bigger sewer.
shareI'm not sure that is possible. I guarantee there are members that post on the politics section that are former "Stormfront" members. The racist views expressed are shocking. Do the MODs just let openly racist views to go unpunished?
shareYep. They put up with antifa members and other generally hate filled people. No one gets their minds changed, there. It's completely pointless.
shareANOTHER SITE IM ON THAT IS DEAD AS DISCO,TMDB...THEY HAVE THE EMBEDDED VIDEOS...ITS QUITE AWESOME..REALLY BRINGS A LOT TO THE DISCUSSIONS AND LISTS TO LIFE...A SITE LIKE MOVIECHAT WITH THE POPULATION AND FLOW WOULD BE OUTSTANDING WITH THE SAME FEATURE.
shareYes, indeed. Go talk to the MODs! Get this done!
shareThe more bells and whistles a site has, the more bandwidth it uses, and that would cost the webmaster more money. Jim pays for the site out of his own pocket, and from the pennies he gets when someone clicks on an ad. That's why he keeps the site bare bones. He'd get more revenue if he'd regularly post the contribution link and ask people to donate (or have the mods post it regularly). I know it's at the bottom of the page. But promoting it a couple of times a month on various boards would definitely help to bring in more revenue which can then be put back into upgrading the site.
sharePeople that use adblock here have no hearts.
shareWell, even if they didn't use an ad blocker, you'd still have to click on an ad for it to generate revenue. So it's basically the same outcome with or without really. I click on the ads every now and then.
shareI'll try.
shareeh... when I throw up a comment, i've typically already said everything I have to say about the matter and am contributing to the thread as a whole. further comments tend to muddy my point i began with. when i choose not to reply i'm not ignoring the poster. i just feel everything that needs to be said is on the page already. including their feedback. there's also no point in filling up the thread with "agreed"s and "you're out of your mind"s. considering a lot of the threads here were begun on a defunct website and the users aren't even around anymore to engage, it makes me feel especially "screw it" about the whole matter.
shareI'm with you.
shareWord!! 👍👍
share"McCock"?
shareThat's Mr. McCock to you.
shareTOO BAD HE DIDNT GET HIS DOCTORITE...DR. McCOCK HAS A NICE cockRING TO IT.
shareWhat sort of doctor should he be? OBGYN? Proctologist?
share"DR.McCOCK"
Jeez, that sounds good. Oo Didn't even think about it. Need to write a script. I don't know the content, but I sure know the protagonist's name now!
I try.
shareWell it's not as simple as that though is it ? This is an anonymous board where we really have no idea who we are talking to. And not everyone here is always motivated by pure motives and good will to all. I have a hardened attitude due to years spent as an active IMDb Boards user and believe me there were a lot of bad faith actors on those boards.
Hence why I tend to block trolls even if they aren't directing their crap towards me.
I don't have patience for it.
