I finally saw The Shawshank Redemption - Are there any classics you haven't seen yet?
I watched it last night and thought it was excellent. I really need to get round to seeing some more 'must see' films.

shareLots. Most of them because I'm disinterested but I'm sure there are some I'd love, or at least appreciate.
shareThe Shawshank Redemption is a very enjoyable film with beautiful Roger Deakins photography and a glorious performance by Morgan Freeman. I think ‘classic’ is a little strong a term for it - it borrows shots and tropes from so many older prison movies that it practically plays as a greatest hits compilation, and personally I always found Tim Robbins a little dull in it. But it’s always a pleasure to watch. 7/10
Classics I haven’t seen - so many, but a random pair that come to mind - both of which I’ve been meaning to check out for ages - are The Big Parade and Berlin Alexandetplatz.
Gone With The Wind. I’ve fallen asleep everytime.
shareI would say
Citizen kane.
If it was before last I would have said Stars but just watched the first two trilogies last year.
Classic's I haven't seen;
Metropolis
Lawrence of Arabia
any of Ingmar Bergman movies
Cleopatra - not sure this is a classic
Once Upon A Time in America.
Metropolis is excellent. Lawrence of Arabia and Cleopatra are worth a watch too.
shareHave you seen Intolerance? I feel like I should, but don't want to.
shareIntolerance is excellent. One of my all time favourites.
shareThis is weird. MC has no board for Intolerance? 🤔

shareRight then, I'll add it to my 'get round to it list' It better be bloody good (mutter, mutter, mumble, mumble).
shareOne of the best films ever made.
