I love O Mio Babbino Caro. I remember back when I was in college in 1990 having a crush on a girl at the University and she told me she heard an opera song on a bank commercial that she really liked but didn’t know what it was. I went out of my way to catch the commercial and ask some friends I knew with backgrounds in classical music to identify it. I then bought her a tape of it. In the end she really couldn’t care less though. But it became a favorite of mine and I remember it being used in the movie “A Room with a View”.
shareMy sister and I were watching tv together and happened upon the classical music channel where Mozart's Così Fan Tutte was playing. We both complained about it ("I can't believe we're watching this!"), but still finished it until the end for some reason. This has happened once or twice before. I can't really tell you why.😑
