On-screen text/writing too small sometimes
Does it irk anyone else that often producers/directors film text and/or writing too small and just assume everyone watching at home has 60-inch 4K HDTVs? I find myself struggling at least several times a week with reading on-screen text and writing yet I'm younger, don't need glasses (I just had an eye test at the DMV a couple weeks ago) and have a sensible (but not giant) HDTV. Every time a director shows a shot of texts on a phone screen, hand-written things (trying to read the messages that deaf character on The Walking Dead writes on that little pad in the night scenes is frustratingly difficult) or things like that, I either have to go back, pause it, move a little closer to the screen and read it or just let it pass by without full comprehension, filling in the rest as best I can through watching the rest of a scene. It's irritating. Anyone else feel the same way?
