What TV/Web series would you recommend to become articulate?

Looking for a TV series that is entertaining as well as help become articulate. English is my second language but I am fairly fluent in it. I want to polish my spoken English. Of course, I understand that the best way to do that is by speaking more in English. But I figured that if I am gonna waste my time watching movies and TV series I might as well make the most out of it.

The CBS Evening News. Also, read The New York Times and The New Yorker magazine. Spoken American English tends to be lazy and sloppy.

Also, copy nothing you find on the internet, where “of” and “have” are considered to be the same word.

Go online and find speeches made by Sir Winston Churchill.

maybe stick with songs

I know ESL friends who became fluent watching old sitcoms like Frasier, Wings, and Three’s Company. Sitcoms had a more theatrical style years ago because they were often performed in front of live audiences. The speech patterns are slower, more emphatic. I guess more recent shows like The Big Bang Theory might also work, but I am not a fan.

Other shows (go British because the actors have a lot of speech training):
- Downton Abbey
- Poldark
- The Crown

Fawlty Towers.

The 'Poirot' and 'Miss Marple' series based on the novels of Agatha Christie.
Foyle's War
Rumpole of the Bailey
'Yes Minister' and 'Yes Prime Minister'

I loveee all of those!

Anything you find fun will help you pick up English faster. I personally recommend The Flash (2014).
