one of the boards i used to visit regularly had a large group of massive esthero fans, & i always meant to give her a listen. that song wasn't really what i was expecting, though. for some reason i had it in my head she played closer to a tricky/portishead sound.
shareHey and thanks for the comment! :) Her first record was very Portishead-inspired but she parted ways with her producer for her second one. The album this song is on is a bit hard to categorize since it bounces around from R&B to jazz to trip hop and so on. Personally I love the diversity she displayed there and I highly recommend both albums. You should give them a try. :)
