I'm not sure how, but for some reason I missed the death of Jimmy Stewart back in 1997. Yes, it was a while ago, but still, it bugged me that I missed the tributes since he was such an icon.

Or the reverse... celebs who die but you assumed that they had died years ago.

Doris Day recently died and I thought she had died back in the 90s sometime.

She's one I knew was still alive (until she did actually die recently) and occasionally I checked to see if she had passed and I somehow missed the event.

What's funny is I remember very clearly when Jimmy Stewart died I said to my friend I was shocked to hear he died that day because I thought he had been dead for years!

Last year a friend and I had wondered if Charles Bronson was still alive only to discover he died in 2003...we were way off lol

Those are the people I'm sometimes surprised by - they died a number of years ago and I can't figure out how I missed the news.

Me too on Norman Lloyd. I like him. St. Elsewhere is a favorite of mine.
