not a song, but i am absolutely obsessed with steve reich's music for 18 musicians, particularly the section that runs from 27:40 to 29:39 in this clip.

Minimalist music I think is an acquired taste that I appreciate more now than when I was a teenager/young adult. I saw Einstein on the Beach at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in 1984 and just viscerally hated it. But as I have grown older I appreciate the genre more.
shareit's definitely something that i've developed more of a taste for as i've aged as well. certainly i'm more open to things i can relax into than i was at one time.
i saw a portion of einstein performed last year when philip glass headlined the new music festival in our city. i didn't enjoy it as much as the other pieces i saw performed that week by glass or others tbh, and i've never listened to the full piece.
That is a beauty!
sharePretty much anything by Maiden, The Misfits or Dio
Earl Sweatshirt is pretty cool and the whole Odd Future crew is very good
A number of Peter Hollens' songs have stuck in my head over the years. He's a YouTube singer that either does his own version of famous songs, or once in a long while, sings a song that nobody's heard before.
For me at this moment, it's this one:

There are other songs too, mostly just stuff by Celtic Woman.
I finally found another great singer to do this song:

I LOVE that song!
Awful.
shareOh that's cool. :)
shareI really enjoyed the boy band medley he did with Jon Cozart.

I don't think I've ever changed the radio station when they're playing "Under Pressure" by David Bowie/Queen. That and "Back on the Chain Gang" by Pretenders. I remember those came out around the same time when I was in junior high.
