I haven't seen Birdemic but Plan 9 is awesome.

This was my immediate reaction as well

I'll skip Birdemic but damn! Plan 9 was a brilliant (and unintended) parody of everything to do with space invaders

The script, sound, editing, camerawork, acting and special effects all seem to be worse in Birdemic.

a 1.8 rating - I haven't seen Birdemic. Plan Nine is a guilty pleasure type movie.
