Do you think its okay to raise genetically modified organisms for food?

I'm okay with it. The FDA has said that food made from GMOs is no different from that made from natural organisms, and given enough precautions we can protect the environment and the organisms themselves from any dangers brought about by genetic engineering.

There's a company that raises genetically modified fish which grows faster and can feed more people. With a growing population, I think GMOs make sense.

No. We humans have messed up enough things with our technology, only to find out later there are many things we didn't take into consideration and the end result is us having done harm. By then, industries have developed, and there's too much push-back and money involved to roll things back or even divulge honestly the resulting problems.

There are too many of us as it is. Our population should not be growing.

Low key Thanos.

I'm not sure the exact number, but nearly 50 countries have banned GMO's. If there is no risk, why would they do this?

An excellent point. Why indeed?

😐

GMOs are proprietary and come with restrictions. Many countries are smart enough to not want to have dependency to Monsato.

I like the idea of feeding all the people but this GMO deal makes me nervous
Maybe I watch too many horror movies where the lab experiment goes wild on everyone..?

Attack of the Killer Chicken Nuggets would be an hilarious end event though!

It makes me nervous also. Would the Attack of the Killer Chicken Nuggets include Col. Sanders?

None will be spared when the nuggets commence the attack😳

There is a grocery store in my neighborhood that sell non GMO items only. I love shopping there. They have the best strawberries and blueberries and everything else is better than anything I've bought at Safeway. They also have a meat department with fish and meat that I've never tried (I'm a vegetarian) but they look good.

reply

Well why be vegan if now they use humans as fertilizer to grow the vegetables.

That's Canada and Mexico. Illegal in America.

veggies and fruit I don't mind.

We approved of allowing humans to now be used as fertilizer. So we can't really go off and say anything about GMO. If a country doesn't like how we do things they can go buy stuff elsewhere.
