What will happen to us as a species?

I believe extinction is inevitable. My favorite guess is that we would be able to convert our conscience into A.I. some day and continue to live in machines, potentially forrevveeerrrr...

My not so favorite guess, but I think is more probable, is that we will simply go the way of the dodo.

Well, it's Saturday so I guess we'll all run a few errands, wash some laundry and finish the day watching Netflix with our Boo;)

Total extinction? Not sure; there's a lot of people on earth. I can see pockets of humanity surviving in tribes.

But technology will eventually doom humans to a big die-off. While civilized countries won't start a nuclear holocaust because they're interested in self preservation and know that a nuclear war cannot be won, there remains a middle ages mentality in one particular culture that would prefer to die if it meant the extinction of their sworn enemy.

If we can just get beyond the total extinction outcome, then I truly believe that we could become Godlike. Just look at how we’ve advanced exponentially. Imagine where this could take us.
