Anyone else here watch The Joe Rogan podcast?
Or is it just me?
shareOccasionally. The one with that physicist was great... I forget his name off the top of my head. I've also checked out the Alex Jones episodes, Elon Musk smoking with him, and a few others.
shareJoe Rogan hosts all kinds of people on his show, which is refreshing. When everything else in society is on corporate lockdown, then naturally a beacon of free speech like this becomes a haven for the alt right. So his audience is extremely rightwing, even while Rogan himself and many of his guests are left.
The Left doesn't understand this. They don't recognize censorship because it doesn't happen to them. It gives them a heart attack when he gives a "platform" to wrongthink ideas. Some of his best shows are debates like the recent Kresser/Kahn debate over meat. Rogan is definitely not left when it comes to his own body. But even while giving both sides a platform, the left still hates it. They're used to having the whole floor to themselves. It's so bad Rogan even talks about this from time to time, how the left is always giving him crap for having certain people on, how there's a real hardcore lack of openness to new ideas on the left. It's hilarious to look at the differences in likes between guests. The left isn't even watching or interested in their own people, because it's just preaching. They just don't want right wingers going on there and upsetting their world view talking about biology or something and exposing that it's really the left who hates science. They'd happily have the whole show destroyed just so the alt right doesn't have it. The left will go watch anything else.
