Stonekeeper's Winter Game: I recommend THIS Mystery Movie #297 [Sonatine (1993), guessed by LauraGrace]

So you guys like to play games? Here is an investigation game that can be time consuming but it's lots of fun. Basically, I have a movie in mind and you have to guess which one it is. For each movie you guys are going to guess, I will give a hint that CONNECTS your guess with the movie I have in mind.

Example of connections: Actor, length, genre, aspect ratio, language, country, year, director, writer in common, rating, number of votes, nominations. It can even be something like: both movies involve a love triangle.

- The winner can either start a new game or say "pass". In case of a pass, the OP gets to start another one.
- After 12 hints, the point goes to the OP and he/she gets to start another one.
- Movie must have at least 3500 votes. Otherwise, add a Bonus Hint.

Hint 1: Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland (1989) - Drama genre in common.
Hint 2: Memoirs of a Geisha (2005) - Japanese language in common.
Hint 3: The Quiet Earth (1985) - Rated R by the MPAA.
Hint 4: Visitor Q (2001) - Comedy genre in common.
Hint 5: Last Life in the Universe (2003) - IMDb rating 7.0 to 8.0.

LauraGrace is now tailgating StoneKeeper on the scoreboard as she grabs a surprise win with Sonatine (1993), one of my favorite Takeshi Kitano movies.

That's it! I'm surprised you got it so fast. I had refrained from using the fact that "Last Life in the Universe" has the plot keyword "yakuza", because I thought that might make it too easy. But you got it right away anyway lol. Congrats!

I love this movie, it's one of my favorite Kitano films.

lol, I only won cause everyone else went to sleep!

Lol nah I think you would have gotten it anyway. But speaking of, I'm off to bed myself now. I'd stay to play in your next thread but I'm falling asleep as I sit here lol. Good night. :)
