shareI only play Empires & Puzzles nowadays. It's a match-three jewel game, but with buildings, training, magic, weapons, leveling up heroes, player vs player raids and alliance vs alliance group wars.
shareIf you enjoy the classic Final Fantasy games, I recommend Final Fantasy Record Keeper. I've been playing since launch over three years ago.
There's also Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia. Which has been out for about a year. Both games have microtransactions, but I play them without spending a cent, and can complete 95% of content, anyway. Both are generous with currency needed for new weapons and armour.
There isn't much to either game as far as a storyline is concerned, rather they're more focused on collecting characters, gear, abilities and so on.
Two other RPGs that I play are Chimera Recollect and Soul Armor Recollect.
Chimera Recollect is basically a reskinned and improved version.
These are action RPGs where you play on a tile based world map, with each tile containing one of the following: a story sequence, a random battle, a boss battle, an inn, an item shop, or a portal to a more challenging dungeon where your progress on the map is temporary unlike the regular map. The focus of the game is collecting parts from the monsters you fight. You can mix and match these parts to gain different combinations of abilities and stats. You can improve the parts by spending the currency you earn in battle. There's a very simple storyline, that takes about eight hours to complete. To collect and level up all the parts in the game could take more than forty hours.
The game is translated from Japanese. So, the translation can be a bit shoddy in places. Nothing that makes it difficult to understand, though.
Thanks for the thorough responses. Will definitely check those out. Its hard to find good games with this current p2p trend. Just charge me for a good game already lol
Also, cant wait for the new Diablo to grace the store.
