reply

Tres gatos.

reply

I have a dog, and a leopard gecko. The gecko I've had for like... 17 or 18 years, I'm not even sure. Still going strong.

reply

Those Leopard Geckos are awesome, I
always wanted one
And I had no idea they lived so long...17 years is more than most marriages last

reply

Yep, they're cool animals. Apparently they can live like 20 years, or sometimes even 25 or more. So mine probably has some good years still left in him.

reply

I have a 55 gallon aquarium and the light and electric heat rock downstairs in my cellar...i used to keep a snake in it so its probably fine for a few little Geckos

I think im going to do this!

reply

I have a dog.

reply

my brother has one of these gentle beasts

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RklCTVforLY

reply

Ive never heard of these
They look like bears...scary!

reply

Newfoundland dogs

reply

Trust me.....Newfies are the kindest, most gentle-giant dogs around. Think of it as a whale shark lol. Might look a little intimidating, but its completely harmless.

reply

Good to know Padeen
They certainly look scary

reply

Fun fact: Lewis and Clarke brought a Newfoundland Dog named Seaman on their journey and it was the only animal to survive the trip. At one point, he was dog-napped by Native Americans, but was returned after Lewis threatened to send armed men to kill the Indian tribe.

reply

I don't own a pet, but I have a feral cat that sits on my front porch in the evening knowing I will feed her. She's pretty tame now.

reply

Interesting. I have a gray feral cat (Harry) who hangs around my deck, and I feed him. I also provided a house under the deck with a heated pad for winter. He's been around a little over a year now.

๐Ÿ˜Ž

reply

Ever try to coax him indoors? A year sounds like a good mount of time for the cat to trust you.
My neighbor lets feral cats stay in her horse barn. They come and go as they please.

reply

No, he likes it outdoors. Oddly enough when I sit on the deck bench he'll jump up and snuggle against me and get up on my thigh, and I scratch him, and he purrs.

But, when I'm standing or walking, he's very skittish. And if I make a sudden move, he takes off running. It's kind of odd.

๐Ÿ˜Ž

reply

Sad...maybe Harry was abused and is frightened by big guys moving around...i seem to recall that you are quite tall
But very nice of you to give the little fellow some comfort and company
You are a fine dude!

reply

Yeah, unfortunately you might be right, and I am a big guy, 6' 1". Thanks for the compliment. I love having him around. Interesting, when he darts off, he'll sometimes stop and look back. Then I ask him in a soothing voice
"Where are you going? Where are you going?" That seems to calm him down, and he walks back towards me.

BTW, you're a fine dude also!

๐Ÿ˜Ž

reply

Thank you very much my Man!

Yes, i use the 'soothing' voice on my pet rabbits...i swear it really works quite often!

Its very rare but sometimes they just dont listen...then i have to chase them back to their pen...this can take hours if they get out in the yard!

I love my bunnies but they really are a bunch of trouble sometimes

Cant complain though
They smell nice and they all snuggle!
My pet buns are ridiculously cute

reply

Here comes Peter Cottontail, hoppin' down the bunny trail!

reply

cute link:)

I wish my rabbits were that slow!
About once a year one breaks loose and it is really tough getting the little runaway back into the pen!

Its pretty much me chasing a rabbit around several acres -While my wife shakes her head wondering who she married lol!

Im a bunny fan but bunnies are total jerks...adorable, cuddly, little jerks๐Ÿฐ

reply

You know, I'm getting a really funny mental picture here.....

๐Ÿ˜Ž

reply

Funny how?
Am i a clown, am i here to amuse you??
