shareWha? I don't get how you think posting and asking for volunteers to be prospective mods is tacky. Much better than any cloak and dagger stuff, if Jim was interested in transparency, right? As long as the prospective and eventually selected mods were properly vetted (although the criterion has never been divulged, so who knows), what's the problem?
I like the idea of Jim noticing that XXX member is awesome at one thing or another, and appointing them mod for that reason (hopefully fairness and objectivity because those are *very* important qualities for a moderator!).
I don't know, but I don't think, here anyway, we have separate boards that are moderated by different people. Doesn't seem like it, anyway, if there are.
If I were offered my own board here, I don't know what the point would be, or the draw Catbookss' Nook, to talk about ... what? If I were offered it on FB, nah. Less of a point, to me, than being offered one here.
