I applied for a job recently and I noticed on Facebook's "People You May Know" tab that the owner (of the job that I applied for) shows up at the top of the page even though we have NO mutual friends. It made me believe that he was looking me up on facebook. I'm sure this is pretty common these days.
sharePretty common. I remember sitting next to my manager in the office after he interviewed a potential candidate and looked up the name on FB. We saw some inappropriate pictures and concluded that this potential candidate would be better suited elsewhere. Be careful what you post on social media :)

You won’t imagine how stupid they are, most of them will post blogs or upload pictures to what party they attended on their supposedly sick day..
They think cos they hear me saying all the time that I don’t have a FB page, they are right, but I do have a fake FB especially for this type of situation.
